Jakarta Future Festival 2026: Navigating the Future Direction of Jakarta

Embracing the spirit of cross-sector collaboration, Karsa CityLab once again participated in the Jakarta Future Festival (JFF) 2026, which took place from June 5–7, 2026, at Taman Ismail Marzuki. As a platform for urban planning ideas initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), JFF 2026 served as a crucial momentum for Karsa CityLab to take a strategic role in facilitating and contributing to key discussion spaces. This participation reaffirms Karsa CityLab’s commitment to continuously drive urban innovation, foster progressive dialogues, and guide Jakarta’s development trajectory as an inclusive and sustainable global city.

In a festival featuring over 250 speakers, Karsa CityLab was directly involved in several main sessions such as Jakarta Forecast, Urban Talks, Urban Policy Lab, and Urban Study Case. Karsa CityLab’s leadership and board of experts, including Managing Director Dedi Kusuma Wijaya, Totok Amin Soefijanto, Bambang Susantono, Meutia Hatta, Djohermansyah Djohan, Ade Chandra, Adriansyah Yasin Sulaeman, Dimas Nu’man Fadhil, Wintang Haryokusuma, Patrya Pratama, Stella Mailoa, Kelvin Narada Gunawan, and Mira Fajar Aviatri, were present as speakers and contributors. Alongside policymakers, technology innovators, and city planners from various institutions such as AsiaBerlin, visitBerlin, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), ITDP Indonesia, Grab Indonesia, and mayors from several major Indonesian cities, Karsa CityLab dissected strategic issues ranging from electronic road pricing (ERP) policies and energy transitions to city diplomacy in responding to the challenges of modern urbanization.

Carrying the vision of “Navigating Resilience,” Karsa CityLab hopes its involvement in JFF 2026 can serve as a catalyst for tangible synergy between the government, the private sector, and the public. Karsa CityLab invites all citizens and stakeholders to continuously participate in formulating the city’s future blueprint. Through the exchange of knowledge and ideas in these open discussion spaces, the public has the opportunity to collaboratively create a more adaptive, green, and human-centric urban living environment.
